oorchallengeblog- pen/pencil holder

Well This was my first ever pen tin and the first time I have ever taken part in a challenge ever. Its also the first challenge that oorchallengeblog has set so its a first time for all.

I created my Pen Pot out of a sparkly clean Tesco sweet corn tin, its slightly wider and shorter than a normal baked bean tin, so I can shove more in it and see what's in it too. To decorate I have used Party Time Forever Friends Backing Papers, Anita's Sticky Ribbon - daisy chain, and some craft alphabet stickers I picked up a while ago from a pound store.

I am quite pleased with the end result so much so it will not be shoved away in the craft blooper box, but put on show in the middle of my craft table, holding the pens and pencils I usually shove in a box where I cant find them. So hurray to oorchallengeblog for motivating me to create!

Stamped Images

I have been looking around at the lovely Magnolia Tilda images people have been using and I have decided I would like to have ago at making some cards with them on. I had a look around at the stamps that were available and wasn't keen on just buying one of two as the price goes up and up so instead I decided to opt for some stamped images. I think the stamped images will be a a good place to start at least I can see if I can use them before I buy the actual stamp also it means I can have a few lovely images instead of just one or two. I am actually quite excited about recieveing them and using them. I have gone for the images I like which are the Autumn Collection. Will let you know when they arrive.

I have managed to make one card this week, no pics I'm afraid as I wasnt impressed with how it looked and it has gone in the box of card bloopers. The actual layout was fine its the stamp that looks too dull on it.

This weekend I think I will have another gander at the crafty hideaway at the local garden centre, hopefully I will have more time to browse and see what I actually want. I have a new baby card to make as a friends baby is due any time. Also my Hubbys birthday is coming up and I am positive he wouldnt be happy with a little tilda image on his card so that means I will have to find some thing that he will like.

Bye for now its a friday night which means take away night so off for a curry.

Mothersday Card

I had a total mental block, was about to go out and buy a card and in the end I managed to come up with a forever friends mothers day card. So here it is finally, I hope she likes it!

Boys Birthday Card

I had a mad panic yesterday as I remembered I hadnt picked up a card for my son and daughter to give to their big brother, so I set to work on a Ben 10 card. I used a old magazine that I managed to find and some other bits and bobs.

I am quite pleased with the result and it is of course one of a kind, obvioulsy the most important judge was my 8 year old son and I can happily say he loves it!!!

Today I must set to work again to make a mothers day card, I have been trying all week but just dont seem to be able to get any thing to work. Fingers crossed I will have a picture up later of the card I have yet to make!

Quick Thank You card

I had to make a quick thank you card today for my sons teacher as he is leaving or should I say has left his current school. I used the lovely Forever friends backing papers to create the card , which took about 10-15 minutes to make. I am pleased with it and I hope the teacher liked it too.

A hidden Crafty place, what heaven!!!

Today we went to a little garden centre near to where I live and had a look around, my hubby was further on in the shop (men*rolls eyes* lol) when he called me over. As I turned the corner I was hit by the sight of rubber stamps, backing papers, outline stickers and just about anything crafty you could imagine. I thought to myself this being a garden centre its going to cost a fortune but to my amazement the papernation stamps were only £2.00 the slightly bigger stamps were only £3. They had decoupage sheets for 50p a sheet and well just loads of stuff and so much cheaper than ebay, hobby craft or many of the other crafting shops I have visited.

I didnt get enough time to buy what I wanted as I was spoilt for choice, but I will be returning. I enquired about them having a online shop or just a website, they said that they were just putting all that together and took my email addy. I am excited becasue I no longer have to spend a ton and come out of the range with a few items I can shop at this new place and get twice as much for my money Hurray!!!

I will be posting a pic shortly of the Birthday card I have made for a little girl whos birthday we will be attending on saturday. Look out for this.
