Shhh bunting

Happy sunny Sunday all, it has been glorious weather this weekend I am sure lots of you will have been out enjoying it instead of stopping in to craft.

This week I finished a customised bunting, a lovely fb friend requested some bunting to match her the nursery for her baby that is due very soon.  So off I went to the fabric shop.  

Working with the picture on my phone I spent a hour browsing the shop for the right combination of fabrics.  My friend also requested the letters to spell out shhh to remind people that its baby's room and they need to be quiet!

Here is a picture of the finished bunting, 

I didnt realise how difficult it was to get a snap shot of bunting!!!

Each triangle has a pompom on the bottom, also if they get bored they can turn it around and have plain bunting.

So thats what I have been up to this week.  Next week I have some other orders to fill and a post office to visit and I also need to show you pictures of the fantastic goodies that arrived from my fab swap partner for our afternoon tea swap!

February Monthly Make

I shamefully missed Januaries Monthly make not because I didn't make anything simply because I just didn't get around to posting my makes so I thought I better get in Early with my February makes.

For the first time ever I made some bunting that I am pretty pleased with.

and I also created some 

scrumptious felt foods, including this Jammy Dodger and A iced ring doughnut 

YUMMY!

Not bad for all first attempts.  I am trying very hard to crochet some thing too, I have been learning the basic skills from utube videos but so far I am rubbish, I must take a picture of my efforts,  I hope one month I will have a lovely blanket or small granny square to show for my efforts!

Paper Craft inspirations magazine

So the latest issue of Paper craft inspirations is out with a fab freebie of some lili of the valley images and some pencils to colour them with.  This is the mag that I am lucky enough to be  a paper craft tester for here is a picture of the magazine page I am on  as well as the card I made.

CYDA Challenge - Paper Piecing

I did slightly struggle this fortnight as my card making mojo has disappeared, so to then have to paper piece I did panic just a little!

So what started out as a card, then a smaller card ended up as a tag!  I have paper Pieced my little birdy.

Sparkles Monthly Challenges - With Wings

Photo Scavenger Hunt 2012

Last year I noticed a few fellow bloggers taking part in a photo Scavenger hunt.  The pictures each person shared were lovely and each was linked to a list of themes for the photo. 

Now the photos have to be recent although if its difficult they can be from the past they have to be your own photos and you can interpret the title in any way you please so here we go for my January's photo scavenger hunt...................

Well 2 could be any thing but to see 2 deer outsdide of my window at centre parcs was a real treat for me and the kids!

 BLUR

I am not the best photographer in the world and some times even I cant make out what a picture is, probably  some random person, quite artistic if you look at it another way lol

IN THE BATHROOM 

Ok so not technically right in the bathroom but on the wall just outside and it was enough to get my daughter and I in a right old flap!

Now I did have trouble with this so as I was looking through photos I came across this and thought I wish I was here, this is Edinburgh 

INFORMATION

 I would like to say this is my photo but nope it was taken by my hubby who thought this was a bit daft as everyone knows that a urn is hot especially if they are making tea!

 MESS 

Yes this is my mess!!!  I know where everything is and if you touch it I will know!

Terrible isnt it, the worst thing is since this picture things are even more piled up!

ODD 

Yep, that is exactly what this is ODD, for some reason whilst taking pics of my guinea pigs I managed to get a snap shot of Delilahs bottom!

SOFT 

This is Bob one of my Chinchillas, he is soft I think you can tell that from the way he is lead and is gorgeous soft fur is through the bars of his cage, I have no idea why that was the best place for him to sleep he looks like he has chewed his toys and just got too tired so had a nap right where he was ♥

 WARNING

Warning why?  Well too much champers leads to a very poorly Dazie, infact dazie had to go to bed all day after consuming too much bubbly!

So that was January 2012's Photo scavenger hunt, the next hunt has a list that is just as exciting.  I did hoever miss one photo out and that was IN SEASON I really couldnt find anything that I thought worked,   Hopefully I will be more organised and on time getting the post all written up and posted next time and be more prepared!

I won Candy!

Just a quick little post about a wonderful prize that arrived the other day from

Twinkles, Tutorials and Twirls.  

If you arent a follower of Wonderful blog then you are missing out on some absolutely fab makes that you could be making at home!!

The parcel arrived for me at the begining of the week.  It was beautifully packaged and jam packed full of goodies!

Here are all the gorgeous goodies that I won!

The hair band and wand were stolen by my daughter who loves them so much  Have had to confiscate the wand off her a few times as she keeps waving the ribbon in her brothers face!

The twirls, well I had planned on hiding them but my darling son managed to get to them before me!  I havent had ago at making any of the goodies yet but think I will sit down and do that with my daughter. I LOVE the hand stamped wrapping paper and tags the ring is very pretty and well I loved it all so a very big
