Bank Holiday Monday

Nothing much to show you in the card making way today but I did want to update you on the forum fundraiser and share a picture of one of the LOTS that was won.  We raised just under £300 for 2 guinea rescues which is a amazing total and we are totally blown away by the items donated and by all those who bid and won items and those who just donated!  The actual grand total hasn't been announced as we are awaiting a couple of cheques to clear but wow its amazing!

As some of you know I make little fimo families of guinea pigs called Mini Wheekers and they are much loved by the people whom I make them for.  I have included sets in the auctions we do over at Guinea Pig Haven to raise money for guinea pig rescues and they are always popular.

This time around I was shown a pigture of my Mini wheekers being modelled by a lovely piggy who goes by the name of Patrick
Patrick is owned by a forum member and isn't he cute!  He is also sat on a beautiful crochet blanket made by Rebecca who has a blog and makes these wonderful creations to raise money for her own animals care.
Right I am now off to enjoy the rest of my bank holiday monday, I really need to have ago on my new sewing machine which is still sitting under its cover on the side.
Bye for now!

Argos Deal On Sewing Machine!

Hi all I am so busy this week what with extra pigs to care for as my parents are on thier hols and the kids have been home ill as well as lots of other things I havent been on to blog this week tut tut!!!

I thought I would tell you about a fab deal on a sewing machine I bought today or should I say my hubby bought for me.  It isnt anything super fancy might I just add but does sew different fabrics, perfect for card making etc.  I went to john lewis had a chat with the sewing lady and she said certain machines are just no good and wont go through certain thicker fabrics even thin fleece!!!  So I opted to go for this one in argos it WAS £174.99 but has been reduced down to £79.99 so quite good value for money.  Now I haven't had a go on it yet so I may be eating my words later lol I hope it will be as brilliant as I think!

Here is the link should you wish to check it out ARGOS SEWING MACHINE its a E&R classic.

Right must dash sis in law over for tea and things to do, catch you all soon!

Blissful weekend away

I have been missing this past few days, I could be found on a beach in Devon enjoying the sea and the sand!  I probably ate too much, spent too much and stayed out in the sun too much, but it was glorious we all had the best time.

Here are a few pics of what we saw when we went to the Dinosaur and Wildlife park. Which I can recommend but not for pushchairs or wheelchairs it is mightily hilly and I just about made it up and down in this heat!!!!
BOO... its me hehehehe,,.........
The sea lions were brilliant and so very intelligent!

These little otters would do anything for the food that may be lurking in your bag tut tut!!!
This little joey's mum had passed away and he was being hand reared, my hubby asked if he could give it one of the wallaby nuts we had left over and the carer said yes hop on over and give it ago, but all jowy wanted to do was hold my hubby's hand awwwwwwww

If you have watched the wolf man series on TV this is where he and his wolves are and they are fascinating I never thought I would be that interested but they really are amazing animals (but they absolytely stank!)  My daughter was very interested in them too and was found up close watching feeding time (the less details the better)!!!!

And lastly just one of the 3 very tired kids who slept the whole way home shhhhh.............
Back to crafting this week a couple of DT projects to be getting on with so I will be back!
Bye for now!!!

Do you love Guinea Pigs?

I am not sure how many of you lovely people out there in blog land love guinea pigs as much as me, but I thought you may interested to know that the forum I run in the rest of my spare time is having a auction to raise funds for 2 guinea pig rescues that are close to our hearts!  Crawley Guinea Pig Rescue and Cavy Corner Guinea Pig sanctuary.
This is Little Bit our newest arrival here at Dazie patch, I found her in a petstore and spent a lot of time talking to her bottom as she would not show her face, and when she did I realised why she had been left behind.  She had a lot of hair missing by her nose and I guess it made her undesirable :(  Well not to me so home she came and she lives with my elderly lady Leila here they are together

Right Back to auction details lol..........
We have had some amazing items donated by some very talented people including Lesley Desanits who paints the most amazing paintings some of which are guinea pigs!!!  You must see her etsy store as there are other animals too and they are all just amazing!!!.  We also have a lovely print by another talented blogger called Lali here is her etsy store, now not only does she do fab pics of Guinea pigs she also covers a wide range of other crafts.

We also have a Holiday to Cornwall  and its in a amazing little tin miners cottage with a 4 poster bed!!!  Jewellery, crochet blankets, lots of cat related items and well lots lots more you just have to come by and have a look.  Bidding takes place on the forum a bit like ebay style and it will close on sunday at 8pm.
So if you fancy getting yourself a nice gift or some one else who may be a fan of guinea pigs oh and raise some money for guinea rescue then please pop by to Guinea Pig Haven Forum and Register!

Bye for now

Little Musings DT No2 tricky tricky!!!

Well this weeks was definitely one of the hardest images I have ever had to work with, I did have a minor melt down when I saw that she was headless!!!!  But I am always up for a challenge and well, where would we be if we weren't pushed that little bit further
to see where our creativeness will lead!

Sj's freebie for this week is called 'Swing Life Away' when I looked at it I thought maybe just a poem with a child's theme or maybe some lovely children's invites to a party at the park, in the end I settled for a altered frame, with these little legs.  I have a piccy of my daughter at the park and thought it would fit nicely

here is the before pic of the frame..............
(They are 3 for about 1.60ish at Ikea at the moment and they are not glass inner parts its plastic so no chance of smashing.)

And *drum roll please*....................
...........here is the finished frame............
I have used -
Pro Markers to colour
Papers are My Minds Eye, the flowers have been cut from a seperate piece of the same papers.
Green Ribbon is Papermania
Ikea plain pine Frame

Thanks so much for popping by I will be back at the weekend
with my next DT project for Magical Crafts.
Have a lovely friday and don't forget to go and check out what the rest of the DT have done with this pair of lovely legs, over at Sj's little Musings Blog!
