Update on fabric for people who sew or sewers or needle crafters (not sewers of the sewage Kind LOL)

Well what a fantastic response to my shout out about fabric and with the info that has been shared with me I thought it best to pass it on as there seems to be a fair few of us who have trouble finding decently priced 'gorgeous' fabrics!  Lots of you have suggested Dunelm Mills (check if you have one locally) Charity shops for clothes etc that have gorgeous patterns on etc, the local market and local fabric stores.

So here we go the lovely Shell pointed me in the direction of these online places
Pene of Scrap my midlife crisis said:

"I buy 99% of my fabric online either ebay or etsy. Etsy is great as the choice in the states is so much better than here you just have to watch the postage. I look for sellers who will do 7-8yds in a ups envelope then it only about $13-14 which works out about £1 per yd postage!! Bundles of fat quaters are a good buy as well as they are normally co ordinating so good for patchwork and applique.. hope that helps
Hugs Pene"

I adore Pene's work and her fabrics are gorgeous!  So defo check out her advice, I have also noticed that on ebay you can get stuff from America cheap and the shipping isnt too bad.

Then my newest follower (hello Ali thanks for the follow) suggested Fabric Rehab and their fabrics are gorgeous!

Then the lovely Lizze suggested all this!!!!!!!
Try Skye Reve Fabrics (Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/Skyerevefabrics7 ); Frumafar (Etsy - http://www.etsy.com/shop/frumafar );
Cottonholic (Etsy - http://www.etsy.com/shop/cottonholic );
MissElany (Etsy, based in UK - http://www.etsy.com/shop/MissElany );
You can also look for fabric suppliers on Etsy by searching in Supplies / Fabric - http://www.etsy.com/category/supplies/fabric or use Shop Local and search for UK or your locality. You don't have to have a shop on Etsy to buy there, but you will need to register as a buyer. Many shops price in US$, but some now price in UK£. You can pay with paypal - even if you don't have a paypal account you can use paypal with your credit card.
If you want smallish pieces of fabrics, a quilting supplies shop would sell Fat Quarters, which means you can get squares of nice fabrics at reasonable prices (a Fat Quarter is the meter or yard cut in half both lengthwise and widthwise - ie. 1/4 meter/yard, in a nice square).
I also recently found this online shop - http://www.remnanthouse.co.uk/index.php. I haven't bought from them yet, so cant tell you much about them.

Aj recommends Pinflair (although hasnt ordered online from them) she also said to search on ebay for Japanese Fabrics as there are some cute ones.

Thank you all so much for pointing me in the direction of some fabby fabrics you are all STARS!!!  Also thank you to those who were worried I was having sewer of the sewerage kind problems lol Its so nice to know you care!!!

I will update the list as people recommend and if I find any decent fairly priced gorgeous fabrics!
