Craft Your days Away challenge - Easter

This fortnight over at craft your days away the theme is Easter.  We are sponsored by the stamp fairy, they are giving one lucky winner a £10 gift certificate to their online store.  

They have a wide variety of gorgeous images for everything from Boys cards to Easter themed cards.  We were lucky enough to have some image to work with this fortnight and I chose this gorgeous little bunny who is sitting on the front of my Easter treat bag.

I made the template for this simple little treat bag the ribbon is from my stash the papers/card are from a old set from ooooo last year the year before?  I cant even remember who they are by but they are gorgeous!

I have coloured with Pro Markers and the brad is from my stash too.  I think treat bags are a fab idea for Easter as you can pop anything from choccies to little Easter chicks inside them and give as a gift.

Vw Egg Cosy's!

After seeing some gorgeous knitted egg cosy's I thought I have to have ago at making some that are made out of felt.  So I set to work creating a template and eventually came up with these finished egg cosy's which I love!

Has anyone else transferred over to the new look Blogger dashboard?  Its all a bit fancy, just trying to get used to it now as I don't like it when surprises are sprung on me unexpectedly especially when it comes to technology!

Baby Makes

This week I decided I needed to get my bottom in gear and make some gifts for my daughters teacher who is set to go on maternity leave very soon.  So after debating what to make I purchased some Minky Fabric and some lovely cotton fabric that could be for a boy or girl as we don't know what it is yet lol    

I set to work after pinning all the minky fabric to an inch of its life, if you don't pin it properly then it slides all over the shop and makes you one frustrated lady!

Here is the blanket with 2 burp cloths which are simple to make.

I don't think they are half bad, they are my first attempts :)

CYDA Challenge - One for the Men/Boys with Buttons

Morning all, its been a busy ol weekend for me so my post is a little late.  This fortnight over at 

Craft Your Days Away we have a brand new challenge and its all about the boys.  A lot of us find making cards for the lads in our lives difficult so this is a great opportunity to have a bash, to get some inspiration go check out what the rest of the dt have come up with.  This challenge has a tiny twist and that is that your make must include buttons.

Its My Birthday

Well it was at the weekend and today hubby took me out for the day with no kids in tow!  I always like to go to Bath which isn't too far from us at all. I picked up some gorgeous goodies but I thought I would show you a some of the gorgeous goodies I had from family and friends, I was very spoilt this year!

First off we have presents from hubby which include this gorgeous Guinea Pig Travel Bag, however I think it will store craft goodies the thought of it getting tooth paste or soap on it fills me with dread!

then I received some gorgeous goodies from friends

They know who they are, I absolutely love each and every gift!

 Plus I had Clothes, a book that I wanted Call the Midwife and for some reason lots of my family members felt I needed lots of pairs of 

these!

Apparently I no longer need to steal my hubbies pairs as all the ones I have been bought are girly and pink!

Oh and I had a fabby mug saying FACEBOOK ADDICT  I have no idea where they got that Idea from!

Afternoon Tea Swap

I am a tad behind this week things just not working out as planned however I had a gorgeous box of goodies arrive at the weekend from my Swap Partner Estelle of Twinkles Tutorials and twirls can I just say now this lady is a genius and embraced this swap fully and I was amazed at what came out of my parcel and how inventive she was in how it was all put together!  

So with out further ado here are the pics of the tea swap goodies.

When I opened the box I was greeted with a message on a doily which I didn't take a piccy of Darn it, but this is what greeted me

 Some gorgeous tea break goodies some nortys and some goody gluten frees :)

 The most scrumptious candle I didnt know betty made candles as well as chocolate filling!

 A selection of Fine teas, Asam happens to be on of my favs

 Tea note pad and a little book of word searches and a little pen

 A fabulous spotty mug ♥ with jam and a spoon, the mug is already in full brew holding operation!

 A lovely afternoon tea cake book, I swear some one some where is trying to get me to cook!

 A lovely crafty package of cards to make as well as a giant tea bag!

 And all of this was presented on a tray with doillies and servettes, the tray is on my dining room table!

And a couple of days later  received a lovely card with some gorgeous tea pot charms in.

I think you will agree I am one lucky lady having such a fab swap partner.

I just hope she enjoyed my goodies as much I loved hers.
